Explore Somewhere new.

Sea Dog was born from the desire to explore the raw, rugged, expansive and often inaccessible BC coast. With thousands of islands, inlets, bays and glacially-carved fjords, the Salish Sea, Howe Sound and South Coast have countless hidden and beautiful nooks to explore—including wildlife and natural wonders, secluded beaches and empty hiking trails.

Sea Dog Expeditions is a marine transport and tour company. We exist to help get you to those secluded climbing and hiking trails, empty beaches and hidden coves. Whether you’d like to explore Bowen Island for the day or spend a week in the backcountry, we’ll help you plan your adventure and show you parts of coastal British Columbia very few get to see.

Sea Dog operates out of the Howe Sound with our rugged and reliable vessel, the Coastal Cowboy. This six-metre rigged inflatable boat was originally built for the Canadian Coast Guard and has logged hours not only in the Pacific but also Arctic and Atlantic oceans; she's quick, reliable and most of all, safe. Her shallow draft can get you right up onto the beach for some beach combing or coastal camping, and she’s well designed to operate in every weather condition the Pacific Northwest throws her way. She’s an open boat, so expect to experience all the ocean has to offer—but we promise the cool breeze and ocean spray will make your Howe Sound adventure all the better.
